Aluminum reusable bottles have become all the rage. Swiss company Sigg is leading the way with their Nalgene-like stronghold over the market. It seems that every other person is starting to jump on the bandwagon. Still, I'm not convinced.
Aluminum is a neurotoxin. In their simplest form, neurotoxins interfere with neurons. So how does Sigg get around using aluminum for their bottles without serious backlash from the community? Chalk it up to a thin, taste-inert, food-compatible, stove enamel coating on the inside. But, I'm still not convinced.
Something so harmful covered up only by a thin layer? I'd rather not take that chance...
Cheers!
